Aren’t we ashamed? We enter salah, standing in front of Our Creator, and our minds wander. Aren’t we ashamed? We are more concerned about what our neighbor will think of us when we try to put our foot next to his, and then he moves it away. Aren’t we ashamed? We enter into Ruku’ and we are making tasbeeh of Allah. Removing Him far far above the rotten beliefs and ill thinking we have grown accustomed to assuming about Him and what He has planned for us. That one day, a day which is 50,000 years, all of mankind will be dead silent, eyes lowered to the ground, embarrassed and too humbled to raise their heads. Speechless, at a loss of words, nothing to say, because of where they are standing, and Who they are standing in front of. And the realizations that everything that Allah said about Himself in the Quran was supposed to be completely believed in and internalized, not just conceptualized in our minds?

Aren’t we ashamed that time and time again, we read Allah’s names: Al-Rahman (The Inherently Merciful), Al-Rahim (The Mercy Giver), 17 times a day at least, and we act and feel that Allah won’t forgive us? That even though we are trying, He will hold us into account and be nitpicky with us, and be harsh with us? Aren’t we ashamed of this? Aren’t we ashamed that everytime that we get overly stressed and anxious, and we don’t have good focus in prayer or Shaitan gets the best of us, and we mess up, that we start thinking, believing, and feeling that Allah is making it difficult for us? That He doesn’t want guidance and good for us? And we think all this when Allah clearly told us,
??????? ?????? ?????? ????????? ????? ??????? ?????? ?????????
Allah wants ease for you, and He doesn’t want difficulty for you. 2:185
How will our feelings be on the Day of Judgement, when all we want to do is keep our faces planted on the earth, so ashamed, and humbled, that we had the guts and the boldness to feel that Allah is not a Lenient God, that we assumed and concluded from our assumptions and waswaas that He is harsh, that He loves to take every last little detail into account to hold it against us? Will we not feel shameful about how we will feel when we will know the reality? That we only give lip service and never really truly down to the bottom core of our hearts that He really is Al-Afu’ (The Pardoner) and Al-Kareem (The Generous) and He LOVES to forgive, and LOVES to wipe clean the slates, and He gets so happy when His slaves turn to Him, and He comes back at us with so much forgiveness? Aren’t we ashamed that we get overburdened by Islam by our own preconceived notions, overstressing, and Shaitan’s deceptions and evil, deceitful ideas, that we start feeling that it is an overburdening religion, when the most truthful and trustworthy person to ever walk on this earth clearly said,
? ????? ???????? ??????
“This religion is easy.”
(Narrated by Abu Hurairah, reported in Bukhari) – http://sunnah.com/bukhari/2/32
And Allah Himself clearly siad that,
????? ?????? ?????????? ??? ???????? ???? ??????
And He has not imposed any difficulties on you whatsoever in religion – 22:78
And that He said to only practice this religion according to your capability? That we are worried and expecting Allah to abandon us like everybody in our lives has, and put us down, because that’s what we have gotten used to in this life? When Allah says,
??? ????????? ??????? ????? ?????
Your Lord didn’t abandon you nor is He displeased- 93:3
What are we prepared to say, when we are standing in front of the Owner of the Universe, and we harbored these feelings in our hearts? And we didn’t realize that When Allah says there is no difficulty or pressure whatsoever in the religion, then there never was, and there simply cannot ever ever be in the slightest.
Brothers and Sisters. We need to realize who Allah is, because we simply don’t. Allah is the greatest for a reason, let’s start to truly understand that, to the core of our hearts.
