??? ???? ?????? ??????
One topic that fascinates me in the modern world is the concept of artificial hearts. I just read this article on “how to fix a broken heart”
The article is pretty long and boring, so you may not make it to the end. But nevertheless the topic of heart transplants really is cool.
From the title, I thought it was talking about the obvious understanding, like an emotionally broken heart. But then I was surprised to find out it was talking about artificial hearts that are manufactured to replace diseased hearts, through heart transplants
The connection between our emotional hearts and the physical hearts is really interesting. Because I’ve heard of some cases where after a heart transplant is done, using someone else’s real hearts, that some of the personalities and dreams are also transferred into the other person. It’s strange I know. But my knowledge is limited on this topic, and overall we don’t have a lot of knowledge on the connection between the spiritual and physical dimensions of the heart. It’s possible that the physical and spiritual hearts are not even together, Allah knows best. Or maybe the physical heart does have some hidden connection to the emotional heart. It is at best a guess.
I found a comment mentioned at the end quite interesting.
The last line is intriguing. Because as Muslims, we so don’t see the heart having only one function of pumping blood. The first thought that comes in my mind is the emotional heart, the spiritual heart, the heart where faith and man lies, and other positive and negative emotions.
Earlier scholars both muslim and nonmsulim held this view as well, and I believe the understanding will go back to this understanding.
